Apple Distinguished Educators Program
Web Site Updated for 2001

Westcliff Communications has just completed a major update of the Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) Reference Site for the Apple Education division.

Working closely with Apple, we launched the first version of the site in mid-2000. With secure online access, program members had the ability to keep their contact and professional backgrounders current, and maintain a portfolio of their ADE program activities. Apple employees had immediate access to more than 250 top educators in the country.

The ADE program manager had, for the first time, the ability to monitor member participation and overall program activity online.

The 2001 update to the system included close to 15 new administrative and member features and an updated look and feel to reflect the elegance and colors of the corporate Apple web site.

Since 1999, Westcliff has been providing an interactive online application for educators interested in becoming members of the ADE program. This year, an automated email system sent notices to review committee members associated with the applicants grade level and expertise area. The result was a simplified accelerated review process.
